Text messaging help

The number is changing because we are changing SMS/texting service providers.

You can do one of the following things:

  1. You can text the word “START” to 65207 to enroll.
  2. If you have a MyChart account, you can log in and update your communication preferences from the main menu.
  3. Call 612-543-2500 or ask a team member at your next visit to help you sign up.

You should enroll if you would like to be informed about your care in a more efficient manner. Text messages will allow you to interact with us without logging into MyChart, whereas MyChart provides you with broader access to your health data.

The purpose of this service is solely to communicate with you about your care. We will not distribute your information outside our organization.

Since we are switching SMS/texting service providers, you will still need to enroll again with the new number, by texting the word “START” to 65207.

We sent out a series of goodbye messages starting on February 9 to alert you that you will no longer receive text messages from the old number, because we are changing SMS/texting service providers. This message also encouraged you to text the word “START” to 65207 to enroll in receiving text messages through the new system.

If you no longer wish to receive text messages from us, text the word “STOP” to 65207.

Not a problem, simply text the word “START” to 65207 to re-enroll.

No, a MyChart account is not required to receive text messages from us.

However, you should make sure your phone number is up to date with us! If you recently got a new number and don't have MyChart, update your contact information at 612-543-2500.

The most common messages you will receive from us will be appointment and billing related.

Yes. You can modify your communication preferences in MyChart, or Guest Services staff can help you change your communication preferences. You can also text the word “HELP” to 65207 for a list of available options.

We need your phone number again to confirm we have your consent to message you via text with our new SMS/texting service provider.

English and Spanish are the only two languages currently available.

Message frequency will vary, based on your appointment schedule, billing updates, and your communication preferences.

The service itself is a free service; however, message and data rates may apply. Please check with your service provider.

Text messages related to your relationship with NorthPoint, including updates related to your visits, MyChart account, one-time passcode, billing notifications, prescription reminders, and care management will be sent to the phone number above. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. For help text HELP. Text STOP to opt out of notifications from a specific short code.
